Ben Wokorach is an architect, innovator, and education entrepreneur from Uganda. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Wokober Education Foundation, where he leads the development of practical STEAM learning approaches that enable young people in underserved schools to build, experiment, and innovate using locally available materials. Growing up between Gulu town and Lukwir village, Ben began building toys from recycled scrap as a child, an experience that shaped his belief that ingenuity is the foundation of meaningful innovation. He graduated as the best final year architecture student from Makerere University and is a Mandela Washington Fellow, an Engineering for Change Fellow, and a recipient of the 100 Brightest Young Minds in Africa award by Absa. His work has reached over 10,000 learners and continues to explore how hands on making can nurture the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and problem solvers across Africa.
