Speaker Applications for WordCamp Mukono Closed!
The moment has arrived! Speaker applications for WordCamp Mukono 2025 are officially closed, marking an exciting milestone on our journey to celebrate women in WordPress. We are beyond thrilled by the overwhelming response from talented individuals who stepped forward to share their knowledge, stories, and experiences with the WordPress community.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Applicants
Over the past few weeks, we have been amazed by the sheer number of applications from passionate speakers across Uganda and beyond. From seasoned WordPress experts to enthusiastic newcomers with fresh perspectives, the variety and depth of proposed topics have truly inspired us. It’s heartwarming to see how many people are eager to contribute to our community’s growth and learning.
We received submissions covering a wide array of topics, including Full Site Editing, Community, SEO, accessibility, security, content creation, and the ever-evolving landscape of WordPress. This diversity ensures that we’ll have something for everyone, whether you’re a developer, designer, blogger, business owner, or someone just starting out with WordPress.
What Happens Next?
Now that the application window has closed, our dedicated selection committee will begin the exciting (but challenging) task of reviewing each submission. We are looking for sessions that are not only informative but also engaging and inclusive. Our goal is to create a well-rounded schedule that caters to all attendees, regardless of their skill level or area of interest.
We take this responsibility seriously because we believe in delivering high-quality content that educates, inspires, and empowers our community. The review process will be thorough and thoughtful, with each application being evaluated on relevance, originality, and potential impact.
A Big Thank You!
To all who applied, thank you for your willingness to contribute to this vibrant community. Your passion and expertise are what make WordCamps so special. Even if you are not selected this time, know that your efforts are deeply appreciated. There will always be more opportunities to share your voice.
Looking Forward to WordCamp Mukono 2025
This year’s WordCamp Mukono promises to be unforgettable, especially as we celebrate women powering the WordPress universe. In line with our theme, “WP HERoes: Women Powering the WordPress Universe,” we are excited to highlight the dynamic roles that women play in the WordPress ecosystem. From developers and designers to bloggers and business leaders, women continue to shape and innovate within the community.
Expect sessions on Full Site Editing, WordPress Eco-system, SEO, accessibility, security, content creation, and much more. Additionally, our hands-on workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions will provide valuable learning and connection opportunities. We’re also planning special features to honor the unsung heroes, contributors, and leaders who have made a significant impact in the WordPress community.
